Load Adjustments

Railroad load adjustments are made by properly placing and securing the load in a rail car. The weight of cargo must be evenly distributed throughout the rail car, both side to side and end to end.

Load Securements

Rail car loads must be properly secured in place or tied down so that the load doesn’t spill, topple over or shift during transit. Not taking these steps can result in broken or damaged products.

Load

Reductions

Uneven weight distribution can damage the rail car and cause unsafe conditions that could derail a train.  The weight of cargo must be evenly distributed throughout the rail car, both side to side and end to end.
